American Crow
The American Crow is a common species in wooded areas and around farmland. They are year-round residents throughout the entire state of Ohio, and male and female American Crows look alike. Crows are among the most intelligent birds and can learn to talk, learn to avoid certain people and not others based on previous experiences, etc. Common crows are attracted to shiny objects and often collect them in a secret stash.The oldest living American Crows, a captive in New York, lived to be 59 years old. Common Crows are often mobbed by blackbirds. They also commonly mob owls and ocassionally other large birds of prey.
